Restoring the Atlantic Hotel
What these photos are, and what they are not.
This slide show consists of scans made of a 35mm slide projector cassette used by Edward H Hammond Jr to illustrate a talk on the restoration of the Atlantic Hotel. Hammond was a leader of the group of local families who formed a partnership to buy and restore the hotel. This slide show is a collection of pictures, it is *not* the history of the Atlantic Hotel Partnership or the full story of the restoration effort. Today, that story is best represented in a photo book assembled by Reese Cropper which is available for viewing at the hotel. Cropper's book is intended to replace and supplement a scrapbook Hammond assembled that was once on second floor of the hotel but that has, unfortunately, gone missing. Some basic captions for the photos have been provided. These will, occasionally, be updated and expanded. Comments and suggestions can be sent to manager@muskrat.farm.
